Frequently asked questions

Is it legal to rent out my apartment in Paris?

Yes, as long as you follow Paris rules: a registration number from the city hall, a maximum of 90 nights a year for a main residence rented short-term, and a change-of-use authorisation for a second home. Mobility leases are not subject to the 90-night limit. [À relire avant publication]

How do I get paid, even if I live abroad?

For short stays, Airbnb pays your share directly into the account of your choice, using the payout methods available in your country. Our commission is deducted automatically: we never handle your rent.

What happens in an emergency or if works are needed?

We handle small repairs on site and coordinate tradespeople for the rest. You are informed before any significant expense.

How am I kept informed?

By WhatsApp day to day if you wish, and through a monthly report: stays, income, work carried out.

What about tax as a non-resident?

Rental income from a property located in France is in principle taxable in France, even if you live abroad. The rules changed recently (Le Meur law): we recommend checking your situation with a chartered accountant. [À relire avant publication]

Can I block dates for myself?

Yes, you stay in control of your calendar and simply let us know a few days in advance.
